Snowy New Hampshire

This weekend we took a road trip up to the mountains of New Hampshire. No skiing for me, since I'm a wuss, but lots of pretty snow and cute little shops to walk around to. Reminded me a lot of Nashville in Brown County actually. Here are a few pics from the hills... enjoy!

Vampire Phenomena????

Can someone explain to me why there is a vampire phenomena going on right now? Seems as if there is some movie out there that everyone seems to know about...but me. And now there are new shows popping up on HBO about vampires that honestly takes good time away from decent movies or more room for Entourage. I'm a little perplexed to this phenomena as I'm NOT a vampire fan at all. In fact, I used to think that they hid under my bed when i was little and were going to bite my toes off at night if all my body parts weren't wrapped up in covers.
The only vampire that I'm a fan of is The Count.... from Sesame Street.
And the only movie that I ever watched was The Lost Boys, which once was enough for me and then the nightmares started....

I would like to take a minute today to give a Happy Birthday shout out to my dear friend Michelle!!!! We have been through a lot together since we all met our freshmen year in college...would have long chats in the hallway in the freshmen dorm, all night movie benders at DG, the Front Door, many many great girl gatherings post college that are such good memories. Palm Springs Trip

Last week our company had a sales meeting in Palm Springs and I got through the first big one.....a little tired afterwords, but definitely a very interesting experience. Lots of business ( obviously), presentations, cool drinks, sun, some kaoroke, mexican food, and dry weather. Here's a picture of the girls enjoying a cool beverage post day 1 presentations.

I'm finally getting house pictures up so you all can picture the environment that I'm living in....It's not bad, I know I called it "Grandma's house," but honestly with all of my stuff, personal touches, and lots of scented plug ins from Bath and Body works...it's good for me!

Just so you all know this has got to be the most gloomy year. All it did in the Spring in Indiana was rain and it has rained exactly half the summer here in Boston (direct quote from the news). So haven't seen too much sun this summer except for vacation....which was very nice.

I hope that all of you are as excited about the Olympics as I am!!! Stay tuned for more gold, at least in the swimming and gymnastics categories I'm sure!!

Entering the world of bloggerdom.....

So, for those of you that really know me, know that I am against the myspace, friendster, something or other social sites that are just not my thing. But...since I have moved away from family and friends I feel that it is harder for me to keep everyone in the know of what is going on and to always make a call to everyone that I want to, so I'm putting together this little site so that I can upload pictures and show everyone my little KB in the City adventure! Maybe you asked yourself, why would she choose this title? Simply b/c I thought it to be clever for one thing :), and two I went to see the Sex in the City movie with two of my great friends right before I left for Boston. So I'm here, and things are going well. I will soon have pictures up from my apt so that everyone can see where I live and also will get some up of the city for those of you who have not been here before.
